Hello from a long layover in Singapore!

It’s been a solid five months that I’ve lived in Asia. Today we start on our journey towards our next continent. We are going to Ethiopia and I am so excited. Before going on the race I had only been to Australia.
Asia has been full of lots of rice, sketchy squatty potties, throwing away toilet paper, bucket showers, lots of things made of bamboo, weird smells, lots of stray dogs, lots of singing, lots of praying, hot weather, lots of rain, washing my clothes in the sink or just using dirty water to wash them, new languages, lots of airports, lots of buses, so much laughter, so many tears, ubers, ritz crackers and peanut butter, lots of bread, fried rolled ice cream, so many fruit smoothies, new friends, deeper intimacy with the Lord, a better understanding of what biblical community looks like, and so much growth. I could go on but I think you get the point.

These five months are just the beginning. I am about to be halfway through this journey the Lord has called me on and I have already grown and changed so much. I am so excited to see what the Lord does through and in me in these next 6 months.

The Lord is so faithful, and if you are having trouble seeing that ask Him to remind you of it because He will.

Thank you for all of your prayers and I pray that the Lord blesses you with a new year full of growth in Him, love for/from others and a desire to serve Him.

On to Ethiopia where we will be doing many different things. We will not have wifi access, which I am really excited about! There will be 6 of 7 teams staying in one place. The other team will be seeking out other potential ministry hosts to serve this month and for future racers to serve. This is a tough task which they will need a lot of prayer for because they will be relying a lot on the Lord.
