1 Corinthians 12:27 says, Now you are the body of Christ, and individual members of it.

You, yes YOU are an important member of the body of Christ. How cool is that?

So in just 6 weeks my squad will be embarking on our 11 month journey starting in India. How outrageous is it to leave everything that is comfortable behind to serve the Lord across the world?! Not only that, but to do life with 50 people you’ve only spent about 10 days with. I believe this is only something that can be truly orchestrated by God.

These 50 strangers have become family in the matter of 10 days. We have been stretched to say the least, but the Lord gave us each other to hold on to and pray with. In 10 short days: tents became homes, bucket showers became the norm, portapotties were the only option, vulnerability became comfortability, and we became a community solely united by Christ and our willingness to obey him.

These 10 days have been a small glimpse of what heaven looks like in my eyes. I have never felt so vulnerable yet so loved at the same time. Within this time the Lord covered me in his love and reminded me how mighty and powerful he truly is. The Lord did so much work in each of us in just 10 short days and I cannot even imagine what he will do within each of us for 11 months.

Each member of the body of Christ has a specific gift or role that only they bring to the table. The really cool but simple part of that is that each member/body part is SO IMPORTANT. Ephesians 4:16 says, “From him the whole body fitted and knit together every supporting ligament, promotes growth of the body for building up itself in love by the proper working of each individual part.” God has given us each other to create a beautiful community of believers that an share the story of the Gospel with the rest of the world and just love one another as Christ loved us. It is so amazing to be within a community that is able to encourage each other, build each other up, and grow alongside each other with the knowledge and wisdom that comes from the Lord.

Please pray for my squad as we process the past 10 days and prepare for the day we are reunited for launch. Thank you for reading!
