Guatemala has been an interesting month for me. My time was divided between ministry, adventuring with the squad and processing with God. God brought up some really difficult pieces of my heart that he wanted to work on during the month.

I cried a lot.
I wanted to be alone 90% of the time but couldn’t because I was living with 25 other people.
I wrote a lot in my journal.
Prayers, pieces of reflection and teachings from my bible.
It was a month of self-realization that was really hard but it was so good.
Thank you Guatemala for loving us so well! We loved getting to experience your culture and cities. There is a saying in Iowa called “Iowa nice”, where everyone you meet says hello and welcomes you like family. There should also be a saying “Guatemalan nice!” What other culture asks you to come to their home as soon as you meet because they want to show you exactly who they are. Never have I felt so loved by a whole city than during my time in Guatemala.
Thank you to the Kunkle Family for adopting my jar for the month! I am so thankful to have you as neighbors! What other family would kindly tell me to go home at 6am when I just wanted to play? Literally no one!! Kunkle family you are the absolute best!
