Right now I am sitting at the Atlanta hotel still in shock that this is launch. Launch used to be months away, then weeks and now..it is here. For the past few days I have been on a road trip with my parents. We stopped in Nashville for 24 hours to listen to some great music, have some sweet tea and maybe see a star! None were seen, but we still listened to some great performers. We got to see my brother who met us for lunch before we left, so now Ryan and I have only had 3 goodbyes.
Then we were on the road again on our way to Chattanooga, TN. We stopped at Chickamauga national battlefield park were we received a history lesson from the civil war (courtesy of my father) as well as saw a beautiful view of Chattanooga. So in the last 72 hours the only things that has really separated me from my parents are some walls, we have had tons of quality time together full of laughter and love. I have gotten to say more goodbyes over the phone, capture memories in photos and enjoy the southern heat but also the air-conditioning.
I am so thankful for this time with my parents, the joys of a road trip and the start of something new. On Monday August 7th the World Race will launch its August 2017 routes to begin their journey spreading God’s Kingdom, impacting the world and allowing the world to impact them. As a reminder I will not be on social media for the first 6 weeks of the race, so the only way you can keep up with me is by following my blog. So please hit subscribe and join in on my journey around the world!
