Faith; having complete trust or confidence in someone or something.

Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. James 2:17

The end of last year I decided to put a hold on my plans for after graduation. I had began to think about what I wanted to do after high school but kept the Lord out of it. One Sunday afternoon I felt God tugging on my heart but I just ignored it and went on with my day. The following week I met with a mentor and friend for coffee just to talk about life and catch up. She brought up the World Race trip in our conversation and I instantly wanted to learn more about it.The Lord began creating a special place in my heart for the World Race and I began praying about it.

The next week I attended my friend’s church and God really spoke to me through the message; about surrendering my plans and comfort to God. I got on my knees and began to pray and asked the Lord to give me a sign and confirmation that I should keep pursuing the WR. After the service I left with my friends and one of them looked at me and said “the Lord is really telling me you need to go on the World Race, it was on my heart the whole time while we were in service and I just needed to tell you”. Tears began to run down my face because the Lord had just answered my prayer not even an hour later!

The Lord is so so good!! I then applied and got accepted to go on route 3! It wasn’t easy taking action in my faith with The Lord but I know His plan for me is far more promising than my own plans. No doubt that the enemy tries to bring me down and feed me lies but God’s plan is sufficient and enough for me.
