This month has been absolutely amazing.
Team Delta has been in Yangon, Myanmar, teaching English to the students at Myanmar Bible College.
We may have taught them the difference between regular/irregular verbs, past/present tenses, singular/plural words, etc., but they taught us so much more.
The joy these students have is absolutely beautiful, and it’s evident that it comes from their relationship with the Lord.
We would walk into the school or the classroom, and they would be just so happy! It’s seriously impossible to have a bad day with these students!
And don’t get me started on their hospitality!! You try and carry your own chair into the next room, and there is always someone there that will take it out of your hand and carry it for you!
It’s been such a blessing to be in community with the teachers and students this month!
Here is a little photo recap of the month:

Our first night in Yangon we headed over to the school to meet our students, and they greeted us with beautiful flowers. It was so sweet!! Then, we introduced ourselves and sang a few songs with them!

Introducing Thanaka! Thanaka is a distinctive feature of the Myanmar culture. It comes from a tree and becomes a cream when the bark from the thanaka tree is grinder with a small amount of water on a circular slate slab. It‘s uses include cosmetics, cooling, providing protection from the sun, removal of acne and smoothing the skin!

My classroom for majority of the month!

Some of our students 🙂
THEN… we got invited to a wedding…
and not only invited…
but asked to do the FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS.

So off to the flower market we went…

There were flowers all over the place!

We think they turned out pretty good for a bunch of amateurs.
Oh, and a couple of our students took us to the market to pick out fabric, then to the seamstress to get fitting for tradional Burmese dresses!!

One of my students! Guess what her name is…(don’t think too hard…)

Our amazing ministry hosts for this month!!! 😀
Another hard goodbye, but so thankful for everything the Lord taught me this month through my students, the teachers, and my new team. The Lord is reminding me everyday of how good He is and how great His love is for all of His people.
Thank you all for your continued support and prayers!
