Well, the Radiant Rubies definitely aren’t strangers to change.

A couple of weeks before we left, we were informed that instead of the original first stop of Serbia, our team (along with two others) would be going to Albania instead.

And it was AMAZING.

A couple of days into our time in Romania, we were to have our first meeting with our ministry host…he wasn’t able to have us assist his ministry this month, so our contact found us another ministry.

And it is AMAZING.

After prayer and worship the other day, our team (along with two others) were asked to go up stairs for a quick meeting.

WR TWIST #34571859:

WE ARE GOING TO GREECE TO WORK WITH REFUGEES!

How cool is God?!

Here is a little excerpt from our ministry contact informing us of what ministry will look like inside the refugee camp:

“We serve in Moravia, which is the largest camp on the island of Lesvos; there are over 3,000 refugees living there right now. We are recovering from a fire that destroyed our facilities, so we no longer have a sewing room or computer lab, but we will reopen them as soon as we can. We manage NFI (Non-Food Items) for new arrivals, housing, a clothing “store,” and camp support. We work in new arrivals and with vulnerable people (minors, families, and single women). We offer tea each night, help with some food distribution, show sporting events a few nights a week, and offer sports. We serve women and children on Saturdays with a visit to our clothing “store,” tea, and a craft. Lastly, we have an off-site warehouse where we sort clothes. The teams would be helping with any of the following: processing new arrival refugees (distributing hygiene kits, bedding, clothing, etc. for approx. 1,000 each month), housing new arrival refugees, guarding housing levels and family compounds, clothing distribution for stabilized population of Moira (3,000 refugees each month), maintenance in the camp for those with training or skills in areas of plumping, electricity, minor building projects, etc., potentially planning events for women, children, and families, providing recreational reprieve (showing movies, sporting events, and music/ cultural dance events), and any additional responsibilities that may come along.”

God has entrusted so much to X Squad, and we are so honored to invest all we have into His Kingdom.

…the thing is… it cost a little extra for the 18 of us going to Greece; $2,300, to be exact.

Please prayerfully consider supporting our three teams going to Greece to assist the refugees.

You are all right beside X Squad praying BIG prayers and expecting even BIGGER things from our God “who is able to immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.” (Ephesians 3:20)

And I love you all so much and cannot thank you enough for the love and support that I have been shown!!
