Since Thursday, I’ve been in ATL training for finance, discipleship, ministries, building relationships, evangelism, and so much more!
It’s been so great to be reunited with my beautiful X Squad. The love has only grown in our separation, and we are all so ready to go out, spread the Gospel, and be the light!!
Travel Day #1
We all gathered this morning at 2 AM to head to the airport and left for our first flight around 7:45 AM!
Currently, we are about nine hours into an eleven hour layover in Miami, Florida, anxiously awaiting our next flight which will take us to Turkey, then another flight to Tirana, Albania where we should arrive on August 8 around 8 PM their time! The other half of our squad just left us hours ago to catch their flight to Serbia!
The reality of this trip is starting to set in, and I’ve never had so many mixed emotions in my life. I’m not talking about two or three emotions; it’s more like 5+.
Excited,
fearful,
anxious,
optimistic,
inadequate,
hopeful,
…and those are only the ones I’ve been able to put my finger on.
The devil loves to show up and fight hard when God’s at work. I’m certain that the negativity and doubt I’m feeling is straight from him.
BUT, he must have forgotten how POWERFUL and STRONG and so much GREATER my GOD is!
1 John 4:13-19 says:
This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father as sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them, and them in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love.. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgement: In this world we are like Jesus. There is no fear in love. But perfect loves drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. We love because He first loved us.
What is there to fear when our God IS perfect love?
Why are there feelings of inadequacy or anxiety when we know that we live in God and God lives in us?
Having the Holy Spirit gives us no fear, anxiety, or feelings of inadequacy. One of the things that stuck out from training camp was when they encouraged us with John 14:12, “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.”
How crazy amazing is that??
It’s here, y’all! I don’t know if the world is ready for X Squad, but we sure are ready for the world to know the Truth!God has so much in store, not only for me for the next eleven months, but for the rest of my life as well as yours!
