Hey all!! Our squad made it to India! I thoroughly enjoyed all of the beautiful people that we met and the things that we did in Peru. Here’s just a little glimpse of what we did there!
- Asking the Lord for images and going to minister to people in the streets
- Helping out with VBS at the church
- Helping the church ladies cook meals
- Teaching English to youth group
- Making chocolates with someone from the church
- Door to door evangelism
- Having a bonfire on the beach with local teens
- Talking with youth about bracelet making
- Playing ultimate with our host family
- Gardening
- Having hard conversations with your ministry host
- Making chocolates and bringing them to patients at the hospital
- Taking time to pour into the squad leaders
- Organizing and planning all of the travel to Ecuador, then India!
- Digging a trench for new plumbing
- Getting our compound ready to host another missions team
- Decorating for and cooking a Valentine’s dinner for local couples and teens
- Going to the market to take stress off of our ministry hosts
- Talking with locals about our mission and what we believe
- Performing our drama in the plaza
- Deep cleaning the church
- Helping with baptisms
- Taking time to serve our squad as a whole
- Beauty for Ashes events
- Folding 2,000 tracks
- Painting classrooms in the church
- Making relationships with the youth of Pacasmayo
- Tearing down walls of our compound
- Painting cute murals
- Eating Mexican food and looking at wedding photos with our hosts
- Performing skits and singing songs in the city center
- Going to a local’s daughter’s 1st birthday party
- Speaking at conferences for youth
