Well, this is it. We made it to the halfway point! And it’s absolutely true, “we’re livin’ on a prayer.”
Here’s the thing, I wouldn’t have it have it any other way. We just wrapped up our month in Ethiopia and as much as I want to say that it’s getting easier, it’s just not. Let me break it down.
It’s been six months of living out of a backpack. It’s been six months of living in community. It’s been six months of figuring out meals within a budget. It’s been six months of missing home. It’s been six months of absolute wonder!
It’s been six months of dependency in the Lord. Six months of falling in love with the people of God in each country, of Facetime calls, of experiencing the Lord’s faithfulness in my life. It’s been six months of endless stories and laughter. It’s been six months with my new family.
Six months ladies and gentlemen.
Six times of falling in love with the people of God we serve next to, but each time having to say goodbye. Trusting that the Lord is with them. Not every day is glamorous, but every day is definitely an adventure!!
Living in community is the best madness possible. There’s always somebody to laugh, cry and do life with. 45 crazy people I get to call family.
So here’s to the second half, the better half!
Here’s to I N S A N E travel days and teary goodbyes.
Here’s to living life with the Father 🙂
