The past two months…

The past two months have been nothing but growth for me! It’s been really great in so many ways, I have grown in intimacy with the lord, and my team experienced so much growth in Botswana! My team grew way closer in Botswana and that is really exciting!

But I want to talk more about our ministry in Botswana since I didn’t talk much about it in the last blog. To start out I wanna say I’m really gonna miss Botswana, we made so many relationships with the kids we seen everyday and would come to our front gate screaming our names until we came out and played with them. But we had 4 events a week…

Wednesday afternoon- Worship nights
Thursday Mornings- Kids Club/VBS
Friday afternoons- Bible Study
Saturday afternoons- Movie nights

We had a lot of success with the events, even though we didn’t have huge numbers we still had the same kids coming back every week to every single event that we got to pour into and love them. In Botswana it was a big thing to show the kids how someone should love them because adults look them over and sometimes act like they don’t exist, so being able to be there for them and be their friends was huge for them and us. I know I will never forget those kids and what they taught me and I pray they won’t forget about us.

But other ministry we did was farm, we planted a lot of things and transplanted things almost daily. The guys accomplished building a green house during our time with our ministry host so that’s pretty cool! Also everyone worked in the cafe/bookstore at least one day a week and the cool thing was that our ministry host never cared about food sales but if we sold a bible that day we would celebrate that someone else is interested in knowing the father and what he is speaking to us through scripture!

But we just finished our debrief in Nelspuit, South Africa and that was so much fun we did a lot of cool things and also had some good sessions! And now while I’m writing this I have been on a bus for almost 2 days because our ministry is in western Cape Town and so it’s pretty far away from everyone else’s so we have had a long travel day but it has been enjoyed (30 hours on a bus in the course of 2 days) lol! Long travel days are a good time to reflect and process things so that’s always good!!

Anyways I’m going to set a goal to write a blog every week of South Africa! So be on the lookout for that!

Also IM FULLY FUNDED!!! Thanks God!!!
