Around two months ago I felt that the plan I had after high school wasn’t for me anymore, and I felt like I was being called to do something greater. I always knew that I wanted to take a gap year, and I pretty much had decided that I was going to work in Real Estate right out of high school, but that was my plan, not Gods. Then one day I had just started praying for God to show me what he had planned for me after high school, and that night I was studying in my bible and God led me to this verse…
Proverbs 3:5-6 – 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
After a couple more weeks of praying, I came across a video about The World Race gap year, and I had that feeling in my heart that this is what god revealed for me to do! It was a couple days later that I finally decided to apply for the race, and when I applied I felt so relieved because I knew that what I had been praying about was about to become reality, if I got accepted. It was exactly a week later from when I applied on February 13, 2017 that I got my acceptance call from my mobilizer, and my life changed! I was so overwhelmed and excited that I’m actually going into five countries spreading the word of god and ministering to people! I’m not even going to say that me having to raise $14,951 doesn’t scare me, because it is a bit intimidating, but I know that because god called me he will provide for me!
