There are so many reasons that I love Serbia. Besides the fact that we spent the month in Belgrade which was a big beautiful city, I have had some amazingly delicious food. I‘d like to share a little about what I’ve been eating.

For breakfast, I would usually eat yogurt and granola, oatmeal or this ‘cozonac’ I have pictured in the top 2 pictures below. One is with nuts and the other is with poppy seeds. Then I would usually eat what is in the bottom 2 pictures. Bread with zacusca or ‘ajvar‘ in Serbian, with salami and some really delicious cheese called Somborska.

Some times I would go out to eat so that I could experience Serbian food and it was so good! We had lots of meat, cheese, bread and salad. We had ‘cevapi’ which are small, thin, sausage looking things. We have similar ones in Romania called ‘mici.’

The most fun part about eating all that good food is that I got to enjoy it with such good people. Here are just a few. I definitely have more.

And one of my other favorite things about being in Belgrade was all the good coffee shops around. Here are some pics of that. You might be able to tell that I really like coffee, big coffee especially.

Update:

Thanks to you all that have been praying for us. Please continue praying for the people of Belgrade and that all the connections we made would be used to further God’s Kingdom.

We ended up finding 5 or maybe 6 potential Unsung Heroes (churches and ministries) and I look forward to hearing about the partnership between them and the World Race in the future. It’s been a very interesting month, but God has proved Himself faithful. Our team went through some tough trials and was very divided but I thank God that we worked things out and are more united than we’ve ever been. Your prayers really do make a difference. We wouldn’t be where we are without people always praying for us. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.
