This month we are in Belgrade, Serbia! Honestly, I didn’t know much about Serbia before I got here. I have learned so much and am absolutely loving my time here. The big city, the cold weather (SNOW), the language, walking most places, GREAT FOOD, very good coffee, the culture, the people. I love it all!

Our ministry this month is called “Unsung Heroes.” That means that our main job is to find churches or ministries (AKA Unsung Heroes) that would like to partner with AIM (our organization) and have future World Racers come here in the future. We are staying in Belgrade and our team has made many connections already and we’ve had many meetings so far. I believe that we have 2 potential partners, which is awesome! I can’t wait to see what the Lord has for the future. Belgrade is such an amazing city and I believe future World Racers would love it here!

We’ve met so many kind and wonderful people. They have been so gracious and such a blessing to us while we are here. Here are some of them:

In the top left picture, we met a sweet lady who was at the first hostel we stayed at. She was so good to us! In the top right, we met a pastor and his wife from Belgrade who have been so kind to us and it was such a blessing and encouragement to meet them. The lady in the bottom right picture goes to that church and she has hosted World Racers before. She’s such a wise and kind woman. In the bottom left, we met this man at our second AirBnB and he was so kind and accommodating and even took us out for dinner and we had cevapcici (small, long meat patties. We call them mici in Romania.) They were delicious!

We’ve had so many fun moments in our new team. Although we’ve also had some very hard times. The enemy has been attacking us and trying to cause division but we are all fighting back and we’ve learned a lot about forgiveness, grace and perseverance. Please continue praying for our team because I believe God has great plans for us. We are not giving up!

Here are some funny pictures of our team:

In the bottom right picture, we all had to go shopping at some second hand shops because we didn’t have warm enough clothes for the weather here. And in the bottom middle photo, we are huddled next to a small heater because the heater was broken in our apartment for 2 days. We were freezing! But now it’s fixed! Thank God! It sure has been an adventure here in Serbia.

Oh yeah, we also had Amy here with us for over a week. She is one of our squad leaders. It has been such a joy and pleasure to have her with us. She is so kind and caring and sweet. God knew just what we needed during this time in our team. Thank you Amy for all that you are and what you’ve brought to our team this past week. I love you, dear friend!
