Hi everyone! This past month has been full but I also got some days of rest and time with my family and friends. I had just gotten back from Training Camp and visiting friends in Tennessee, when Hurricane Irma started heading straight toward us so we decided to evacuate and headed back north to Georgia. We went to my sisters house in Georgia and actually celebrated Thanksgiving with them and some of my family since I will not be here to Thanksgiving. It was such a precious few days with my family where we got to rest and eat and have fun together. It was wonderful! I love spending time with my family. When we got back home, everything was ok at our house and we had electricity. Thank God! We were very fortunate.

I got to celebrate my Mother’s Birthday and get together with all the family before I left. That time was so wonderful and it brought tears to my eyes, thinking about missing them and not seeing them regularly. I love my family!

Honestly, I think packing has been the hardest thing about getting ready for the World Race. I’m the kind of person that likes to be prepared for things so I just want to bring everything. The problem is that my big pack can only weigh 50 lbs…And also they recommend my smaller backpack to weigh 15 lb…It was so hard to decide what to take and what to leave. I don’t feel like I overpacked but the weight of my bags says I’ve overpacked…I’m very thankful my sister helped me figure out what to take and what not to take. It took us a few days of sorting and packing and repacking. I finally got it to where I wanted it and then left to my other sisters house in Georgia, ready for going to Launch (a few days of training before leaving to Chile). I made a few changes and moved some things around. Thank God I’m packed!

I’m at Launch right now. I’ve had a lot of training since I am the treasurer for our team. It’s been a lot to learn and take in but I’m getting the hang of it. I can’t wait to see all that God does and look forward to all the Adventures ahead. I love my team! What an amazing group of people. I’m so thankful for them. Please continue to pray for us and our whole squad. We are heading out Tuesday morning and have a long travel day ahead.

I am so overjoyed to tell you guys that I am fully funded for the World Race!!!!!!!! I had a friend contact me and tell me that she and her husband prayed about it and they wanted to pay off my full balance. That was my prayer this whole time, that the Lord would provide all the money before I left for the WR. And He did it!! I had a lady tell me that where the Lord calls, He provides. That’s exactly what He did. I can’t thank you all enough for your support and prayers!! I love you all!! This is finally happening and I’m so excited for the next 11 months! I can’t wait to tell you guys all the stories of what God does!
