I am not a very good communicator and I don’t know anything about blogging but here I am trying to communicate my heart to you guys and I’m so thankful that you would even want to read this and get to know me better. I wanted to tell you guys why I want to do the World Race and what I hope to do during the World Race.
I have known about the World Race for about 7 years now. I have always been interested in it or something like it but it never seemed like a possibility. Now that I am single, I realized that I could literally do anything I wanted to with my life. The possibilities were endless. As I thought about everything, I landed on this, the World Race. All the other things I was considering didn’t seem to feel right for this season of my life. I believe the Lord was whispering to me about the World Race. I got super excited when I first thought of it, but decided to put it out of my mind for a bit. However, it came back and the excitement and joy came back with it. I have learned so much when I attended the School of Supernatural Life and I can’t wait to put into practice all that I have learned. The Lord has also taught me a lot this past year and I look forward to sharing that with the people He brings my way.
God used his Word and some people to lead me toward doing this. It was pretty amazing because as I was pondering on what to do next in my life, the Lord would bring scriptures and books my way that would point to this. I believe the Lord calls us to go into all the world to make disciples. Many times He says to Go. I also look at the life of Jesus and all the things He did. I want to do those things too. He says that we will do all the things He did and greater things. I can’t imagine what’s greater than what He did, but I’m going out there to find out. I love how many different people have contributed to me finally deciding to do this. I have talked about it with many people I love and trust and they are all on board with me doing this. I have learned to listen to the counsel of others because that’s why God put them in my lives.
I believe that God called me to this ministry to be the hands and feet of Jesus. To encourage people and speak life into them. To help people physically if I can and also spiritually. To pray for people and to heal them. To lead them to the Lord. To bring hope and shine His light in the darkness. I heard a speaker once say that we may be the only Jesus some people see, so let’s represent Him accurately and let’s love well. I believe that I am to use my voice to help others, to bring healing and hope to others. To love the unlovable. To set the captives free. To make Him known to others. To be Jesus to others. To love how He loves. To care how He cares. To see how He sees. To bring joy to those that are sad. To be a friend to the lonely. To serve others humbly. To bring hope to the hopeless. To speak identity into the confused. To be a mother to the orphan. To make known the beauty of Jesus.
Jesus told a story in Matthew 25:31-46. In it He says that I was hungry and you gave me something to eat; I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink; I was a stranger and you invited me in; I needed clothes and you clothed me; I was sick and you looked after me; I was in prison and you came to visit me. I want to do all of these things with Adventures in Missions and for the rest of my life.
At the end of all this, I hope to have a closer, more intimate relationship with others and with God, to change people’s lives forever and ultimately to change the world.
