Senior year of high school :

The Common thought was, “What do I do with my life?”

I was indecisive.

The World Race trickled in my head from time to time. (Props to David, Jonathan, and Ray for telling me about the World Race)

Although, when I told my peers about the World Race Gap Year many laughed and said “You’ll never want to come back to school after 9 months of being away from it.”

It was rough to have a small amount of supporters in the beginning.

As I was figuring out my life, others were also figuring out theirs by applying for colleges and scholarships.

As I looked more into the World Race Gap Year, I prayed about it and felt a calling to step out into the un-ordinary.

I applied, and was accepted in December 2016.

Route 4 2017-2018, Colombia, Ecuador, Thailand, Cambodia, Albania.

I felt fulfilled. This is where I need to be. Since the day I got accepted, God has made it clear to me that this is his plan and I am living it out.

I spent most of my time in school browsing the World Race website for blogs from Gap Year World Racers.

Looking for Videos/Blogs/Pictures, I was obsessed with the World Race!

As I got to talk to my world race mobilizer, there was so much life and spiritual love coming from the other end of the telephone.

Leading up to training camp, I gained many supporters. People started to understand my decision whether that be Family, Friends, Teachers, and customers at work when asked what my plan was after I graduated. Robertson Pools, in old town Coppell, TX. Solid Store.

Anyways… God had his hands all over my journey.

Training Camp was cool, I was placed on a super rad team. Kingdom Bringers: ME, Luke, Grace, Annie, Corbyn, Noah, and Moriah.

TC, was a great platform to meet people from all walks of life. Great Men, Women, Brothers and Sisters in Christ were introduced into my life. Lifelong relationships were built.

I learned, received, gave away, and changed from the one week of training camp.

Before Launch, I had the honor of meeting Ross ( WorldRace Gap Year Alumni). He is one of the most unique dude’s I know.

We snagged some coffee and he poured out his World Race journey, he was encouraging, authentic and most definitely a Strong Man of God.

I was ready to gooooo!

Friends were off to college and I was awaiting Launch.

Life was different, real, and curiosity arose as Launch got closer and closer.

Launch happened, Irma happened, cancelled flights happened, but God made the World Race happen and it has been the best decision of my life so far.

I have seen growth in all aspects of my life.

Spiritually, Mentally, Emotionally, Physically.

Yes. The World Race Is GREAT!

But

Change and growth, is given to you by the Lord not the World Race.

I’ve been made new by growing closer to the Lord each day, sure there are hard days but God’s love will always shine through I promise you.

.

This is my Word. I approve the World Race.
