Catherine Webb,
Ahhhh so many great things I could say about her!! The first day of training camp Cat ran up to me with a huge smile on her face asked my name and yelled “YOUR ON MY TEAM!!!!” Getting to know Cat these past couple months has been so incredible. We have grown so much from each other these past couple months and she’s been there for me every second of the race so far. When I’m struggling with things back home to when I’m celebrating something amazing happening. Cat is always there and full of joy, loving everyone and ready to be there for anyone at anytime. Cat has the biggest heart for kids… street kids, ministry host kids, every child we see I always see cat loving on them and laughing with them. She even try’s to talk to them in English (just says it slower and how they say it very funny) she is always making kids laugh and loves them. The very first month of our race when we found out cat was scared of storms then we had to go through our first hurricane together has probably been one of our favorite moment/hours together. We packed into a bed and waited for the storm to hit then in the middle of the night woke up almost every 30 minutes and sat up in shock and just looked at each other. I could go on and on about cat!! Her faith has blossomed so much already and I’ve loved watching it happen!! Cat Webb I love you so much !!<3

Hellloooo world!! My name is Katie Plank (check out my blog site katieplank.theworldrace.org)! Cat is an incredible person and she has become one of my closest friends on the World Race. During debrief in the Dominican Republic, Cat, Kaylee, and I asked our leader, Lucie, to help us go through the book of Romans and have our own bible study. We started going through Romans, chapter by chapter. Romans chapter 4 mentions Abraham. Cat had no clue who Abraham was, so we talked to Lucie, other friends, read the children’s bible, the regular bible…. we did it all. Little did I know that it ignited a flame in Cat. Every time we would talk to people we met, Cat’s face would light up and she would excitedly tell the people ALL about Abraham and his faith. I can’t even explain it! It was like seeing a kid at Christmas. It was so fun and encouraging to see how excited Cat got about Abraham’s stories and his faith. I remember doing house visits with Cat one day, and she was, once again, glowing, telling the story of Abraham and Sarah having a baby. The woman looked at Cat, dead in the eyes, and told Cat the story of how she had not been able to bear children for so long. She told Cat how God had finally blessed her with a child, how that story was literally meant for this new mother, and thanked Cat for sharing. Cat is one of my favorite people ever. I love getting to see how much she grows in her faith and steps out in courage every day! She also is an excellent rapper and has the best sense of humor.. once in a while.
