Team changes happened. The season of Wildflowers came to an end and I began a new season of sisterhood (Team Sisters) for my final three months of the race.

We are now in AFRICA! Whether I would have verbalized it or not, I was pretty nervous about coming to Africa. It was just such a huge unknown!

My team is currently serving with Testimony Feeding Center in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. We get to love on orphans and hundreds of kids in a local refugee camp. It’s a lot for my sensitive heart to process, but God has clearly placed me here.

Ethiopian culture is right up my alley. I make daily trips to the market to buy fresh, local produce. I now have a “guy/girl” for each item I regularly buy, creating a relationship by giving repeat business. A mango guy, the bread lady, avocado man.

Coffee is huge here! They have full ceremonies dedicated to roasting the raw beans in front of you on a little stove, grinding them, and brewing the coffee in an earthenware pitcher.

We don’t have consistent Wifi access so this is only a short post, but I’ll give more details later. Please pray for the kids we are working with and everyone in the refugee camp. Pray for our teams to be attuned to Christ to best represent Him and protection over our minds and hearts.
