So for those of you lucky enough not to have run into me recently, you have been spared my enthusiastic flood of information when someone asks about the World Race. Actually, I think I’ve come across as a little more subdued about it, but I genuinely am so excited about it, I just don’t usually know where to start.

Well, here’s my best shot. The World Race is an 11 month mission trip that reaches just as many countries in that time. I will be sent out with a team, anywhere from 25-60 people and when we reach the individual countries, we will break down into groups of 5-7 called squads. Each squad will have a specific assignment for the month and while there may be some interchanging between squads, for the most part they stay the same for the entire year, basically your family. (So please God, send me some awesome people!)

When we reach each country, we will partner with an organization that has committed to being a long term part of the community in which they have settled. As they are the ones serving their people day in and day out, they will be in charge of giving out the squad assignments that will work best to help them serve. This could look drastically different from country to country. So one month we may be building houses and the next sent into work with the people of the red light district.

As can be seen from the image on my home page, this is a pretty pricey trip; I have to raise just over $18,000. I would ask you to prayerfully consider whether God has called you to partner with me financially or in prayer. I guarantee you, it will be one or the other or both.

Seriously though, there is no pressure and I would love a chance to talk to you about it personally. Please contact me through Facebook messenger and we can set up a time to talk and I’ll tell you all about this new favorite thing on my heart.
