This past month, we served at a ministry called Formavida. Translated into English, Formavida literally means “forming lives”. It’s about forming the lives of the children that live on the Santa Cecelia mountain. So that they can hear the Gospel, learn about the greatest love story ever and have a chance at the life that they deserve. Wow was our time there so rad.

Even more so than the lives that we got to have a hand in forming, I think that my life was formed more.

For so long, the World Race was such a foreign concept. A dream that became my reality and I truly can’t believe I just finished my first month here. 11 months has turned to 10. I learned so much about the Lord, His character and His favor.

I could go on and on about the things that I learned, but these are my top ten things I learned in month one:

  1. Vulnerability is good, even when I think it’s not.
  2. I can hear the Lord’s voice.
  3. My past doesn’t define my future.
  4. I don’t need to walk in shame and guilt.
  5. God isn’t a far away distant being. He is my Father, my Papa, and he delights in me and is enthralled by me.
  6. I can have intimacy with the Lord.
  7. Living in community is good. Living in community is hard.
  8. Hard things aren’t always bad things.
  9. I don’t need to walk in anxiety. I can bind it up and give it to the Lord, because He wants to bear my yoke and take my burdens.
  10. I am unconditionally loved by the Creator of the Universe, and He favors me every single day.

I am stoked to continue learning what it looks like to walk in freedom with the Lord, and that will only happen as I learn to live in intimacy with Him and seek His face every single day. Abba has been so so good and so so kind to me.

This is a year full of learning how to fall on my knees before the Father and saying “yes” to Him.  I am ready to be transformed.

so much love,
