It has been more than a few weeks since the incredible, deep, fun, exhausting, all encompassing 11 days of training camp. I’m afraid I have been keeping back some important information from y’all

…..MY TEAM!

I will be traveling to each country with 49 amazing God loving missionaries that are on my squad. My squad is known as squad W which we lovingly dubbed Wonder from Habbukkuk 1:5

“Look among the nations, and see; wonder and be astounded. For I am doing a work in your days that you would not believe if told.”

My squad is broken into teams. Each team consists of about 6-7 people who live life and do ministry together. We go as teams to different ministries established in each country and do ministry there for the month. After the ministry month is done, all the teams meet up as a squad in one city to have final debrief for the month. I’ll tell you more about that at the end of August! Each team is carefully picked over the course of 3 days by AIM (Adventures in Missions) staff who worked with us all during training camp. These groups are picked so each person plays a vital role that only they can fill. We aren’t all alike, we all have different skills and gifting but we balance each other and make a kick butt ministry team!

So without further delay,

Let me introduce my team, PLANTS AND PILLARS!

Left to right: Janine Brannis, Cristin Ratkowski, Me, Daniel Best, Tate Cook, Brad Ratkowski, and Jack Twitty.

After teams were finally announced we were able to leave Adventures in Missions campus for a night on the town to make the first memories as a team. We went to my roots, Helen, Ga! (My earliest memories were living in Helen as a young child) Here we came up with our team name, Plants and Pillars from a verse in Psalm 144:12

“Then our sons in their youth will be like well-nurtured plants, and our daughters will be like pillars carved to adorn a palace.”

Our desire is to be developed and mature in our faith. We will build the Kingdom where ever we go as a team, cultivating others to be Christians mature in their faith and strong in their identity in Christ.

That is our purpose, that is our call.

I have one incredible team. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we go to India in less than 2 weeks!

I am still in need of about $7,500 of support. If you feel led to give please do so by clicking the donate button on my page. Thank you to everyone who has so generously supported me thus far! Because of you, I have met the $10,000 deadline and am for sure flying with my team to India! Support given from here on will go to keeping me on the field, serving alongside this beautiful team as team treasurer!

XOXO,
