Each week on the world race we have two off days. One adventure day, to explore and do what we want and another Sabbath day to rest and spend time with the Lord. Some of those off days are spent doing really cool adventures and some are spent doing absolutely nothing except resting and hanging out at our ministry site!
Throughout the World Race I have gotten to see some of God’s most beautiful creation and have experienced some really cool things. I feel though that a lot of those “adventure” days I have not shown with you. This last adventure day however was so RAD that I wanted to share it with you!
WE RAFTED DOWN THE NILE!!!! Our last several days in Uganda were spent in Jinja, Uganda with the whole squad debriefing the last month and the whole year. While we were there we had the opportunity to raft down the NILE river!! It was SOOO awesome!
Within the first rapid, which was a water fall, one of my squad mates battled with the gnarly Nile water, falling out of her raft and chipping a tooth. Another friend had a run in with her paddle, her paddle winning and her ending up having to get stitches. A little further down the river it started pouring down rain on us! Lets just say this is an adventure I will not forget!
Here are some pictures from our time floatin’ down the Nile!
Starting our journey!
That waterfall tho! I swear it looked more scary in person lol

When it started pouring rain on us!

Bye!

Surprisingly we never flipped our raft!
Yes, that is me in the back left looking at the camera!
Baby Moses was in these waters!!!! :O
