Hello from India! I have been here in India for the past 2½ weeks. Since then we have been having night ministry almost every night: preaching, praying, and sharing our testimonies. We have been staying with a local pastor and his family. Every night we travel out to a nearby village, sometimes it’s a 20-minute drive other times it closer to 2 hours. Once we arrive at the village we share the Word of God through a sermon and a couple of testimonies then we prayer for the church members and eat supper with the church pastor. We eat supper while sitting on the ground using our right hand to gracefully shovel rice into our mouths. Supper is usually rice with a curry sauce (sometimes very spicy and no two curries have ever been the same) and occasionally chicken or beef.

One of my favorite parts of the night happens after we preach and share our testimonies. Our host pastor invites us to pray over each person, one-by-one. My team spreads out and waits for someone to come up to us so that we can pray over them. The men usually come to Daniel or me while the women go to the ladies. The children usually ask each one of us to pray for them. It’s so cool to see their faith and devotion to the Lord.

My prayers over the people of India have been different than normal. I can’t really say what normal is but I know that when I pray over them, it’s different. The difference is thanking God for their devotion to Him; they are fully devoted and obedient. They believe that He will grant their petitions if we will pray for them. They devotion to the Lord is awe-inspiring and humbling. I am so thankful that God allowed me to share His Word with His people here in India.
