— It rejoices It rejoices It rejoices —
Pa rum pum pum pum. Rum pum pum pum. Rum pum pum pum. It rejoices. It beats the drum. It stomps It’s feet. It dances. It sings. It quietly watches. It rejoices. It preaches. It sings. It beats the drum. It dances. It rejoices. It calls out. It seeks the lost. It finds them. It rejoices. It manifests Itself inside them. Inside us. It rejoices. It unifies all believers. It looks, feels different to each of us, but It is one. It calls out to Itself. It rejoices. My portion of It rejoices with those who rejoices. It is at peace with Itself. It sighs in relief. It is unified. It is complete. It rejoices.
It is a guarantee of our inheritance. It has been poured out to us. It is a gift. It rejoices. It beats witness that we are children of God. It rejoices.
It empowers us. It walks with us. It gives counsel. It is our helper. It rejoices. It bears fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. It gives us different gifts. It rejoices. It equips us and trains us. It guides us in truth. It brings freedom. It fellowships with us. It calls us and sends us. It rejoices. It rejoices. It rejoices.
My time in Africa has been very Spirit led. We go to church for hours listening to drums and clapping, watching women, children, and men dance. They are so full of joy that they could dance and sing for the Lord all day long. And even though my physical body is tired, my Spirit is full. It rejoices. My Spirit is content to sit there in the presence of my fellow African brothers and sisters. It calls out to their Spirit, to Itself and It rejoices.
Every time I gather in prayer with my team, my Spirit feels at peace. My Spirit feels full and complete. My team in totally unified in the Spirit and I physically sigh. My sigh is an expression of fullness which words cannot explain. This fullness of Spirit is something that I never knew I longed for, but I now realize it is something I can’t live without. This fullness of Spirit is only a glimpse of what living in heaven will feel like.
Here is a list of Scriptures references that describe the Spirit:
1 Corinthians 12:1-11, 2:4-5
2 Corinthians 3:17
Romans 8:9,16
Galatians 5:22
Ephesians 4:4
John 16:12-15
Acts 2:17, 13:2
