As this year of travel comes to a close I think about the changes that I have gone through. Changes of identity, a change in confidence, change in teams, change in country every month, change in continents… But one thing never changed. It stayed constant no matter how hot or how cold the weather was, even if that meant my feet were freezing. I wore my Chacos EVERYDAY on the race.
So here is a blog devoted to my beloved Chacos. They have traveled to 4 different continents, and 17 countries with me throughout these last 11 months and they always give me the support I need.
So here ya have it, a blog of where my Chacos have traveled and the stories behind most of them.

Novi Sad, Serbia- This was at a fortress in our ministry city for the month

Somewhere in Croatia- We border hopped for one of our first off days, so naturally I had to take a picture of my chacos!

Some peak in Northern Romania- One of my favorite off days on the entire race consisted of hiking up a random mountain and enjoying the views!

Kavala, Greece- This was right before a 8 hour ferry ride to the island we did ministry on for the month. We got to explore a beautiful port city on mainland Greece!

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia- We did a walkathon for special needs in the city of KL. This is after the walkathon with my friend Minyong.

Singapore, Singapore- Adventure weekend done right. We spent two nights in the city of the future, and I rocked my Chacos the whole time!
At this point I stopped being as consistent with taking pictures of just my feet, so here are pictures with wearing my Chacos as well.

Chiang Mai, Thailand- Ministry was spent in this tourist city. This particular day was when my team ran into Brahm and Jessica!

Hakha, Myanmar- This was at the school that we taught English at for the month.

Siem Reap, Cambodia- Going to a 7 wonder of the world? Perfect time for Chacos!

Sani Pass, Lesotho/South Africa Border- First adventure day in Africa my Chacos and took an adventure to the border with beautiful views!

Mokhotlong, Lesotho- There was a mountain behind our house, so naturally we had to climb it! Well worth it for the views of Mokhotlong and Lesotho landscape!

Safari near Pretoria, South Africa- Went on a safari with my parents, but first I had to try to feed these ones!

Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe- One of the 7 wonders of the natural world, and it felt like it was pouring down rain from the “mist”.

Mirebalais, Haiti- I really didn’t have ANY pictures with my Chacos in Haiti. So here is a picture of a few of my teammates and I walking kids home in the beautiful landscape near school. (I’m the guy in the red shirt in the front)

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic- Going to a music festival/rave? Perfect time to wear your Chacos! We spent the next 11 hours dancing and having the time of our lives!

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic- We have an amazing view from the roof of our apartments this month! If you look closely you can see the ocean behind all the buildings!

This is the result of wearing them around the world EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Even when you aren’t wearing them, it looks like you are!
Chacos,
Thanks for always being there for me. Thanks for being there for me at my best and my worst. Thanks for taking me on epic adventures, and for being ready for any situation. Thanks for the good times and the connection we have made!
In Him,
Caleb Callaway
