wow, typing that out doesn’t seem real.
these are my wildest dreams unfolding right in front of me.
i feel incredibly alive here in the “Land of Smiles.”
I live at Abba House Foundation: a home that’s motto is “Liberating sex enslaved children in Jesus name!” Life here is refreshing. I sleep in a room of bunkbeds with girls I get to call my beautiful sisters! We eat SPICY streetfood for less than $1 a meal! I teach, preach, sing, cook, clean, play, laugh & live with such new vitality. There’s a handful of lovely, little thai girls here- most were rescued from the Hill Tribes. There’s also a few little thai boys- rescued from the streets of Downtown: the Red Light District. I have a passion for ministry like this, but I’ve always only read books & watched videos on the statistics & stories of human trafficking. Here, I get to experience it face to face. Although it’s painfully real, God is undeniably evident. Victory stories in Jesus’ name surround me here- they sit next to me at lunch & braid my hair & giggle all day long. These little humans are tangible evidence of God’s love. They are walking examples that God’s light outshines the darkness in the world. When I look into “Nakee’s” eyes, I’m filled with hope. When “Sa” hugs me, I’m embracing redemption. When little “David” laughs I feel freedom hit the atmosphere.
These a few pictures of memories I cherish. On the left: Our house mom, Fa, brings out a dish of traditional papaya salad with a billion forks & everyone crowds in to eat- it’s gone in seconds! Middle: After teaching english to these cuties at night, we sit out in the grass under the night sky & play games, laugh & say goodnight with full hearts. Right: these 2 ride around on their bike for hours giggling, naturally melting my heart.
side note: I spent Thanksgiving here & it was AWESOME. I’m inexpressibly thankful for so much this year. But I want to especially thank all who support me financially & in prayer.
