As you know, we have 1 other team living with us in Chile right now, Humbly United. One thing we value is sharing ideas for both teams and making sure we have space to be heard. So at this time, our mentor Emily mentioned that our teams have been interested in prayer, so she came up with the idea to make a prayer room or a war room. Chile is a spiritually darker place in the world and it’s important that we are praying for each other.
So part of our ministry is praying for each other and being with the Lord! We each have a paper that has our name on it and how we receive love so we can love each other well. Sometimes multiple people are in the room with me, just doing what the Lord leads them to do, such as, writing an encouraging note, praying for the prayer requests, reading scripture and putting it on the wall for all of us to see, prophesying, and even just worshiping the Lord with a ukulele or worship music. It’s been so encouraging to know that people are praying for me and fighting for me in prayer. I feel so seen and loved when we pour out on each other. Not only are they blessing me but I can also bless them with the strength and love God gives me.
I didn’t pray very often at home, but I now realize the power it has and how praying for people helps us give up control and helps us believe that the Lord does want to hear us and hear our souls cry out. A big encouragement to me is that people back home have been saying, I’ll pray for you and I can’t tell you how much that means to me. Is such a humbling thing to do and I thank you for thinking of me and for supporting me in what God has called me to do.
“Don’t Worry.
God Is Never Blind To Your Tears.
Never Deaf To Your Prayers.
And Never Silent To Your Pain.
He Sees.
He Hears
And He Will Deliver You!”
our war room!
