Well, here we are. I am 4 hours away from the moment I have been preparing for and being prepared for, for what seems like an eternity now.
In just 4 hours, I will be leaving Silverton, OR and I will be starting my race.
I, Brandi Teeney, am about to live a dream I have had for many years and it just all feels so surreal.
I have spent the last few days running around like crazy as I have been packing and preparing to move out of my house and saying my final goodbyes to all of my loved ones so much that I barely have had time to reflect but I sit here now and I realized, that I have learned more in this season of “waiting and preparing” than I could have even imagined I would learn. I think the biggest thing though, is that I am so freaking blessed by the people in my life. I don’t know why I got so lucky to have the friends and the family that I do but I cannot even begin to say how lucky I feel to have been surrounded by such amazing people for the last season.
So here I am, as I step out of this season and into a new one, I just want to say thank you. Thank you for the role you have had in my life, thank you for making me laugh, thank you for making me feel heard, thank you for supporting me when I make mistakes, thank you for lifting me up when I feel down, thank you for loving me even at my ugliest but mainly, thank you for being a part of my story. Thank you for being in my life, whoever you are and however that may have been, just know that I am so eternally grateful.
So here I go, here we start a moment that I never thought would come.
