Dear Mrs. Borish’s Class,
Hi!! I absolutely loved getting your letters and reading all of them multiple times!
I wanted to write you all letters back, but unfortunately I was not able to before my mom left to go back to Ohio, so here are all of my response letter! I hope you enjoy them. 🙂

Jacob: Dear Bethany. Hola. How are you doing? My name is Jacob. I like pizza. Do you like pizza? I like games like GTA V. Sincerely, Jacob
Dear Aaliyah, Hello! The weather here is wonderful. As you can see from the pictures, it is not snowing here, and is pretty warm; there are even cacti here! I’m glad that you like to play outside, I like to play outside too. My favorite TV show is Kim Possible. If you tell Mrs. Borish what your favorite TV show is, I’m sure she will let me know what you say. I can’t wait to meet you, thank you so much for the encouraging words! Love, Bethany
Dear Jacob, Hola! I am doing really good, thank you for asking! I hope you are doing good, too. I do like pizza, my favorite toppings are bacon and extra cheese. I also like games, although I have never played GTA V; it sounds pretty cool. I cannot wait to meet you. Love, Bethany
Christian: Dear Bethany, Hi! How are you doing/what are you doing? I play the game call of duty. My name is Christian. I am in the eighth grade. You are great!
Jesse: Dear Bethany, How are you doing? My name is Jessie. I am in the 8th grade. I want to be a mechanic. Good luck. You are great! Love, Jessie
Dear Christian, Hello! I am doing well, and this month I am working with a children’s home for kids between the ages of 2 and 6. I’ve heard Call of Duty is pretty awesome, my brother plays that game a lot. I hope you are enjoying eighth grade. That is a pretty cool grade, my favorite subject was math. What is your favorite subject? You are pretty great, and I cannot wait to meet you. Love, Bethany
Dear Jesse, Hi! I am doing great, thanks for asking! I hope you are enjoying 8th grade. It is incredibly awesome that you want to be a mechanic. That is not an easy job, but I know that you can do it if you put your mind to it! Good luck to you in everything that you are doing. I know that you are going to do great and I cannot wait to meet you! Love, Bethany
Jacob: Dear Bethany, Hi Bethany, how are you doing? You having fun in Africa? I hope it’s fun and is there really cool animals there in Africa? So yeah, I hope you have lots of fun and seeing cool animals. Sincerely, from, Jacob
Ryan: Dear Bethany, Howdy! Hello! How are you? How is Africa? Is there any cool animals in Africa? I am in your sister’s class. We are learning about college and jobs. I am 14 years old. How is the family you are helping? Sincerely, from, Ryan
Dear Jacob, Hello! I am doing great, I hope you are doing good too! Africa has been amazing and quite fun. Also, there are incredible animals here. I went on a safari a couple of weeks ago and I saw elephants (one of them was even trying to escape) and I also saw two giraffes fighting with their necks! I cannot wait to meet you! Love, Bethany
Dear Ryan, Hi! I am doing well, I hope you are doing well too—I’m sure you are. How do you like Mrs. Borish’s class? College and jobs can be pretty scary to think about; do you know what you want to be when you get older? The “family” that I am helping this month is actually a children’s home for babies who do not have families of their own. I cannot wait to meet you in person! Love, Bethany
Ciara: Dear Bethany, Hello, how are you? I am learning about the earth. I am in 8th grade. I like riding horses. I am 14 years old, about to be 15 in June. I am going to show at fair this year. Hope you have fun in Africa. Sincerely, Ciara
Matthew: Dear Bethany! Hi! This week we are talking about how to write a nice letter to people because it’s nice to write a letter to a friend or a family member so they know that they are nice. Sincerely, Matthew
Dear Ciara, Hello! I am doing great, I hope you are also doing good! Do you like learning about the earth? Did you know that the Earth is almost 93 MILLION miles away from the Sun, but only 238.85 THOUSAND miles from the moon? Riding horses are awesome, I was able to ride some in the mountains of Lesotho. You should ask Mrs. Borish how to pronounce that country—it is completely surrounded by the country of South Africa. Good luck at fair, I know you’re going to do great! I am having a blast in Africa and I cannot wait to meet you! Love, Bethany
Dear Matthew, Hi! That is fantastic that you are learning how to write a letter. Letters are very nice to write to people, especially family and friends. It was very nice to get your letter and I am honored that you were willing to write me a letter before you even met me! I cannot wait to meet you when I get back to Ohio. Love, Bethany
Wyatt: Dear Bethany. How are you doing today? Well… I’m doing just fine, bye! By the way, I like five nights at freddy’s. You should play it, but it’s very scary. Bye! Sincerely, Wyatt
Korey: Dear Bethany. What’s up? My name is Korey. I play football for Miami Trace. My number is #32. I’m really good. I hope to make it to the NFL one day. But how’s it going in Africa? Is it nice up there because it’s cold here. I can’t wait for summer. Sincerely, from, Korey
Dear Wyatt, I am doing great today, I’m glad you are doing just fine! I’ve never heard of Five Nights at Freddy’s, but if it’s very scary I don’t know if I would want to play it. I like to play card games like Uno or Skip-Bo—they can sometimes be boring, but overall I really like them! Maybe you can play them sometime. I cannot wait to meet you once I get back to Ohio. Love, Bethany
Dear Korey, Not much is up with me right now, I am currently in Zimbabwe, which is a country in Africa working with a children’s home for babies. That is awesome that you play football, I’m sure you’re great at it! I play soccer myself; I don’t think I would be very good at football. If you keep practicing you might be able to get into the NFL, but you need to keep up with your school work while practicing because most people who make it to the NFL play college ball. It is going great in Africa, I have loved being here. Thankfully it is not snowing here—right now, it is their fall season so it gets a little cold at night, but during the day it is quite warm. I will be back in Ohio this summer and I cannot wait to meet you! Love, Bethany
Landen: Dear Bethany, Hello, this week we are talking about careers. My career will be navy engineering. My teacher is Mrs. Borish. How is it going in Africa? Mrs. Borish talks about you. The weather has been cold in Ohio. You can do it! Sincerely, Landen
Destiny: Dear Bethany, Hello, my name is Destiny, and I am in 8th grade. How is Africa? What is Africa like? Is it fun? Mrs. Borish talks about you a lot, I think she misses you. Is it nice up there? I hope you have fun. Sincerely, Destiny
Dear Landen, Hello! I hope you had fun talking about careers. That is awesome that your career will be navy engineering—my career is engineering too! I would love to talk to you about engineering at some time, once I get home. I cannot wait to meet you. Africa has been going wonderfully, and I like it a lot here; I am currently in the country of Zimbabwe. It does not surprise me that Mrs. Borish talks about me, I talk about her a lot too. I’m sorry that the weather has been cold in Ohio—that’s the worst part about winter. You are awesome. Love, Bethany
Dear Destiny, Hi! How do you like 8th grade? Africa is wonderful! I am currently working with a babies’ home in the country of Zimbabwe. I also spent time in the countries of Lesotho (ask Mrs. Borish how to pronounce this country) and South Africa. It is quite fun here. I also miss Mrs. Borish a lot, but I know she gets lots of love from all of you—her students—and it makes my heart so happy. I cannot wait to meet you this summer once I get back to Ohio. I hope you have a great rest of the school year! Love, Bethany
Last but not least…
Dear Ashly, Hi!! I have heard many things about you from Mrs. Borish and I know you are such a sweet lady! Mrs. Borish told me that your favorite colors are pink and purple and that is awesome. My favorite colors are orange and blue. I hope you are having a good day and that the sun is shining for you. You are such an incredible person and a strong fighter and I admire you so much for that. I cannot wait to meet you once I get back home to Ohio. You are so great! Love, Bethany
