I am currently nestled in month 7 of the World Race.

Over halfway. Laying happily on my comfy bed in Alba-Iulia, Romania.

So far it has been one of my favorite months of the race. First of all, we aren’t staying smack dab in the middle of the city—praise God. Our view is green fields with scroungy looking horses and packs of stray dogs running around. Doesn’t sound nice, but to me its beautiful! But were also just a 10 minute walk to the grocery store. Spring has sprung and today I wore shorts and a tank top on our first adventure day, which was suppose to be a hike but ended up being a trek through a high ropes course in the forrest. Not mad about it.

Our ministry has been inviting locals to our English classes and street evangelism. We’ve been invited into church families homes and have been fed some amazing and authentic Romanian dishes. We stay in a beautiful mission home where we cook for ourselves and enjoy a large space to dance, play cards, and work out. I’ve been practicing my handstands because, why not? Its comfortable, spacious, and relaxing.

It has come to a point on the race where I look back and feel like months are flying by. Serbia felt so short, but man it was such a lovely time. God ordained some pretty radical friendships and divine appointments. Here’s just one story from last month in Serbia;

One day after being in the city on my off day, I took a taxi home by myself. The taxi driver was such a nice man. We talked the whole way home and I got to explain to him what I was doing on the World Race. Last month we were partnered with an amazing church full of the Holy Spirit. I told the taxi driver about it, and invited him to come on Sunday. He actually said he would come! So that Sunday I looked all over for him but didn’t see him. Later in the month, right before we left, we were in the city for the last time. I got in a taxi and guess who the driver was?! The same guy! It’s like the Lord is chasing after his heart or something… he remembered me and I got the chance to follow up with him. He said he was sorry for not coming to church but that he has been busy, so, I gave him my World Race card and told him to tell the pastor how he got invited. I was hoping that it would help give him an extra push, so he could have more of a reason to go and start building a relationship with the pastor. I still pray for him, and I’m confident he has already gone to the church. God is good! He leaves the 99 for the 1. Every. Time.

Days may be long, but months are short and they go by faster and faster as I get closer to the end of the race. I’m not taking that for granted.

Each month holds special memories, and I’m excited for this month in beautiful Romania as well as all of the months to come. I want to take hold of every moment and live abundantly while I have this opportunity to travel and meet people from all over the world.

God Bless!
