Now I want to start off by saying the real things I missed the most were my family, friends, dogs, and my bed, but these are a few things that I didn’t think I would miss but did so enjoy!
- Ice
- Post offices having envelopes and boxes for purchase
- Being able to communicate easily with the people around you
- Bathrooms that have toilet paper
- Toilets that can actually flush toilet paper instead of throwing it in the trash can
- Having a dish washer
- Having a clothes dryer
- Not having to pay for plastic bags
- Having clean drinking water
- Finding affordable cheese
- HOT SHOWERS
- Hand towels in the bathroom and kitchen
- Non-stick pans
- Napkins
- Being able to use public bathrooms for free
- Driving
- Hand soap
- Counter space in the kitchen and bathrooms
- Having more then 3 outfits
- Chips, queso, and salsa
- Privacy. Period.
This year has taught me so much about how blessed I am with the things I have, and to laugh when I get frustrated at the things I don’t. It is so easy to forget how privileged we are with even just the small things.
