Hey hey friends!!!

I’m sure y’all are curious for an update on my little ministry aka Covi! Well we are building them a garden, well ripping out their old garden and replanting new plants that they can use for their lunch everyday. We will be picking up new plants for their garden, such as tomatoes, onions, lettuce, and more. If you have any suggestions about plants that grow really well in direct sunlight I would love love to hear about them in the comments below! Covi always makes sure we’re well fed ;).

I’m sure your curious if I have any pearls of wisdom for you as you go about your day and I want to ask you to truly think about service to others. We go throughout the day looking out for ourselves and while you may say that’s not true, it is true. We would rather service ourselves than service others. We do the things we want to do first and then if we have time or extra we give to our neighbors around us. Society today doesn’t have the mindset that everyone you see is their neighbor. Instead we view them as a stranger so then it’s easier to ignore them. For example if you had an extra slice of pizza and we’re just going to save it for tomorrow and you saw a coworker that you totally didn’t know without food at the lunch room without a lunch, how apt are you to go over to them and offer it?

The likely answer is not likely because you don’t know them and probably don’t want to part with your pizza. God has been teaching me service and I’m not gonna lie for those who know me, know I LOVE food and I’m not the best shared of food. But God is showing me that the kindest gesture, the littlest thing makes all of the difference in someone’s life. Giving up your seat on the bus to a frazzled mother with a screaming child isn’t that much of an inconvenience as much as it is a blessing to finally be able to sooth her crying baby. Love y’all and can’t wait to talk to you soon!!!
