We all start and continue our walk with God at different speeds, paces and seasons of life. The first four months of the race were pressure cooker months… I was learning and growing so quickly in so many different ways that when all the sudden it SLOWED…

I was disappointed. I felt like I wasn’t growing. All the traveling, learning, reading and intentional seeking I had been doing finally caught up to me and I was EXHAUSTED… physically tired, emotionally tired, mentally tired and spiritually tired. For two months, I wasn’t being intentional anymore with my teammates or with anyone around me. I needed to be recharged and remotivated. I looked back to remember why I decided to do this trip and where I was at before I came on the Race… truly a toddler in Christ.
BUT, the Lord pursues and His Word is a never ending reference for righteousness and guide for life.
Although I have not struggled in my belief of salvation through Jesus Christ, I have struggled a bit when it comes to Holy beliefs. (i.e. Are there things in the Old Testament that are still relevant today? How does God desire for His people to look, act, worship him, etc?)
Now, I have the opportunity to reflect on a few of them:
1. Passover vs. Easter: The last few years I haven’t felt comfortable at church around Christmas and Easter and this year in Sri Lanka I finally sat down to study and conduct a Passover feast. Here is a video that explains so well what I have discovered while comparing scripture with our traditions:

2. Food: Cat, dog or pork is served in many countries on the Race. My teams have had many conversations about what we should or shouldn’t eat according to the Bible. So what is the truth? Here is a video that explains where I stand on this topic:

3. Holiness and Modesty: It’s not just the World Race dress code; it’s about not wanting to look like the rest of the world. How I dress on the outside reflects my heart on the inside and how much it really does effect the people around me. We are called to be a Holy people, just like this video explains:

4. Satan’s lies: In India, I encountered many devout Hindu believers discussing reincarnation and I wanted to add this video in here because it so clearly exposes this lie that I encountered day after day for three months.
