Yeah! Maybe in the movie the meaning for that phrase was something else but for me definitely was to find the beauty in the ashes.

I was ready for my training camp! I hardly said goodbye to my family to start the amazing training camp and getting ready for the most amazing journey ever.! 😀 But 2 days later I decided to go back home.! … Keep reading to know if I did it or not (Suspense music at the background)
Haha! Yes! I was ready to go back home but then something changed.! The first 3 days at training camp for me were the most challenging, chaotic, unbelievable , miserable and all the worst words you can imagine haha! But not because of the training camp.. It was cause of me… First day my glasses got broken (thank you super glue you were there for me) hahah then the same day somehow I didn’t know my tent wasn’t waterproof and got so wet and my clothes and everything!!!!!!! Next day.. yes people!! –> I had to use the same clothes hahah but when I thought it couldn’t be worst, guess what? My phone just broke. And also it was in a different country, different culture, different language!! So I decided to have a loooooonggggg conversation with God:
Me: God why you brought me here? Please explain yourself haha because I don’t get it orrr mmmm maybe you don’t get it God hahhah..
God: Trust me you won’t regret it!
Me: PFFF!! of course God (mind: but look what happens when I do it )
God: Do you trust me?
Me: Yes God , well I guess..
God : Matthew 6:25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your lifea]”>[?28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Me: Oh God well maybe you are right but look all that is happening!! (Here we go again my human mindset)
God: Dear Andre let me tell you, you don’t have to eat from the scraps! You have access to my table, I am your father and I will never leave you and never forsake you and I will provide, but you have to trust me with your heart, soul and mind, even when you can’t see me or feel me. Cause everything that happens in this world already passed through my desk.
So after that I decided to change my mind and enjoy and embrace that season even when it wasn’t the best at the beginning , it was hard and I cried and I thought that I was not good enough, but you know what? Even in those moments we need to stop and see the collateral beauty, the beauty of the ashes! Our faith is not see to believe, but our faith is to believe to see.
16 days after that I have new frame glasses, my phone completely fixed and all of that and more without paying a penny from my wallet. Can you believe it ? It could be so easy to go back to my country, to my comfort zone, my family and friends.. but my wildest dreams and desires can’t compare with what God had and has in store for us!
For me, it was just simple things that could be fixed. For you, today, maybe is something bigger than that, like sickness, death, relationships, work, school, family, etc. But let me tell you God can do it too! He is already working on that! Sometimes we step back just because we are afraid, because we say with words that we trust but not with heart. My friend FEAR can kill more DREAMS than FAILURE.
My prayer for you today is that you can find the collateral beauty, the beauty of God in the ashes even in your darkness, even when you cant keep going.. Even when you feel God has abandon you, even when you are mad, even when you are faithless, fearful , and you feel nothing gets better. Let me tell you , maybe you cannot see, but God from heaven -He can see everything!! And your future is more beautiful than what you can dream or imagine…
