So I’m back in Guatemala! And let me tell you it was so surreal to come back to the Adventures in Missions base!

First of all let me just mentioned that you know the first thing I did was run straight for the kitchen to see Sandra and Teresa! Hearing them say “Hola Ena” in person again wrecked me. And yes, in case you were wondering, I definitely ugly cried. One thing I was instructed before I went on my race two years ago was to not say “I am going to see you again” or “I’ll be back” because that is a promise you can’t exactly keep. I however, did not hold to that fully. I knew in my heart I would see Sandra and Teresa again and I did tell them I would find a way to see them again. I did not think it would be through another trip with Adventures, however the Lord obviously had other plans!

The second thing I would like to mention is how much the base here has changed! It’s so much more green and has had a lot of beautiful landscaping work done since I was last here. Even though it’s changed a lot, being here again just feels so normal. It’s like picking up where I left off last. Guatemala is more beautiful than before! So green and lush! My goodness I cannot believe how gorgeous it is here.

Now let me tell you a bit about what we have been doing here in Guatemala! Our ministry here looks a lot like house visits and teaching English. We start every morning going around the community and praying for people, encouraging the body, and just introducing ourselves so when parents send their children to English class they know the people who are teaching them. Our team has already seen fruit from our house visits! Last week, we visited a woman who has diabetes and because of this she has had an infection in her foot that has cause her to be unable to walk for three months. Our team prayed for her three times that day and this week she walked to the team!!! She said her foot has gotten significantly better and the infection is almost completely gone!! Praise the Lord! (I was not there that day because I have been sick in bed for the last couple of days so please please pray for my health).

My heart is so for these ladies! And you can read a little about them in my next blog to come!

Thanks for reading! Here some fun pictures so far!
