Guess who’s in Asia!?

The last three months in Europe flew by. Serbia, Romania, and Bulgaria were absolutely amazing. God has taught me so much in the last few months. He has talked to me in ways I never thought possible. I’ve been shown love by wonderful ministry host and locals, and been given the opportunity to share myself and God with so many strangers. I am sad that my time in Europe is over (for now) but I am so happy I can continue on to my next country.

Just a little update on the last few weeks, I told everyone about the ministry I was doing in Bulgaria and shared with you a video of my teammate Liz, but so much more has happened since then.

Last month was a beautiful month! Our ministry hosts, Val and Emi, were incredible examples of Christ and his love for us. They both are such servants of the kingdom and it was a blessing to walk beside them last month.

At the end of the month we had the opportunity to visit two gypsy villages. It’s hard for me to put into words what I saw. When we arrived we stopped into a tiny church to meet some of the families. Their clothes where tattered and torn and their shoes had holes but the smiles on their faces were the first thing I noticed. The children bounded in the door so full of joy saying hello and hugging each of us. We got to pray with them, sing worships song and play with the kids. There living circumstances were hard to stomach but their happiness was hard to ignore. It was such a humbling day for me. Looking back on that day I can see the Lord playing with those kids right beside us and comforting the families and our team. Giving each of us strength, peace, and comfort. He changed my heart that day.

We had an adventure  day before our next ministry began and we decided to go to Thessalonika, Greece. Which was the best idea EVER. We got to go canyoning on Mount Olympus, visit a winery, ride a pirate ship, eat yummy food, and spend quality time on the roof of our Airbnb talking about life. Our time there went by way too fast but it was exactly what I needed before our travel days to Malaysia.

When we got back to Sophia, Bulgaria the very next day we hopped on a plane to Istanbul, Turkey then had a 10 hour flight to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where we met up with the other teams. With this month being MANistry month Liz, Madison, and I got put on an ALL GIRLS TEAM. Woohoo! So we met up with our new team to continue our travel to our ministry city. So when we met up with them we got on a bus to another bus station just to realize we missed the 11 p.m. bus to Kuala Terengganu. So we had to sleep at the bus station over night. After a long night of no sleep 6 a.m rolled around and we got up to try and catch our bus again. With a little delay we successfully piled onto the charter bus with 8 hours of travel still ahead of us. Exhausted from the night before I slept the majority of the trip. But after three full days of travel we officially made it to KT and met up with our ministry host Pastor Chan!

So this month is going to be a little different than other months for starter I’m on an all girls team (Team Alabaster) and secondly we move cities each week!

  • Pastor Chan with St. Andrew’s Church, Kuala Terengganu, Nov 6-14
  • Pastor Simon with St. Martin’s Church, Kota Bharu, Nov 14-20
  • Pastor David with Church of the Epiphany, Kuantan Nov 20-27

I am not sure what ministry will look like each week but I am so excited to serve in yet another beautiful country. Thank you for the continued support!

Here’s to Month 4!
