“No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on the this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead. I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.”
Philippians 3: 13-14
“The end in sight”
Jesus, I just want to focus on You and I.
Got all the fears of the future
cause the ends’ in sight.
I know the race is almost over,
what am I going to do?
Will the people recognize me?
Will they see I’m new?
Will they still love me,
when they see that I’ve been changed?
And the plans you have for me,
are not for me to stay.
You called me to new beginnings so why would I think,
that I would be going back to the same place
or the same state.
Why do I doubt all the dreams and desires that come to mind?
Thinking they are just selfish and a waste of time.
Why do I look at a gift, believe it’s too good to be true?
Thats when HE posed the question…
“Why wouldn’t I give a good gift to you?
I am the Father,
and I know exactly what you need!
If you just wait, listen, and look for me.
I will make the way clear,
give you peace of mind!
Remember I am HOPE,
I do things in the right way
and the right time.
Ive got something in store for you
if I told you now, you wouldn’t believe.
When it comes,
you will stand in awe and be amazed.
But for now, lets just focus on you and I.
You can’t see it,
but I am working on the inside,
drawing your heart closer to mine.”
