For when you first arrived
But I’ve loved you every minute
There’s no doubt in my mind
I loved the way you smiled
And all the pictures of you asleep
It always made me sad that I couldn’t kiss you on your cheeks
I was waiting patiently for the day
when I could meet you face to face
But now you are in heaven
And I still have to wait
I know you are with Jesus
I guess he didn’t want to wait
To hangout with you in person
And have your own “play dates”
Jesus is my best friend, he has loved me through thick and thin
If I have to give you away
I’m glad that it’s with Him.
Though I will miss you
And my heart is really sad
Do me a favor
And pray for your mom & Dad
I know their heart is broken
To see you leave this earth
Please tell Jesus to show them
That you are safe and they are loved
That they are not forgotten and that our Daddy has a plan
To heal all their wounds, and mend their heart together again.
