Moving forward step by step
Not looking back only ahead
I don’t want to stop
I don’t want to rest
I just want to put the past in the past
My knees are giving out
I feel the burden on my back
Trying to find the joy
In each and every step
I need you Jesus is all I can cry out
My heart is restless
Though I know I’m on the right path
Finally off that mountain now there’s another one I face
This one is called “New beginnings”
And it starts in a beautifully broken place
What lies ahead is a road unknown, uncertainty and a future untold
God keeps saying “you’re not in a race,
To reach my destination you must follow my pace”
So I surrender my heart, I want it all to be His
Because I know what it feels like to chase after the wind
As one season ends, another begins
One filled with adventure and freedom within
I choose to let go, forgive but not forget
No longer allow what defines me to be my regret
I look forward to hope, not disappointment or fear
Because God wants to see me dancing with Him
To sing, to laugh, to play and just be me
Radical love for God even deeper than it use to be
So I sit in this peace and I pray that you will too
Thankful for Gods love, because without it I don’t know what I would do
I would probably be at the same mountain
Hopeless and confused
