Thanks for stumbling across my blog! For whatever reason that may be you are welcomed here! On this blog you will find my love for Jesus and passion to share that through stories. However, you might be wondering how I decided to attend the World Race Gap Year, which is a 9 month mission trip to 5 different countries. So let me tell you a little bit about me, Abby Evaniuk.
The year of 2016 I graduated from Troy Christian High School in Ohio. From there I decided I would attend a 4 year college because let’s be honest what else are you suppose to do after high school? At least I thought there was nothing else! When time rolled around to visit universities I decided to look far and wide. This brought me to a small private college in Lakewood, Colorado. I had never been out west but for some reason I was determined to attend college at Colorado Christian University. I packed up my bags and took my family in a mini van and we headed for the sun! Fast forwarding a bit I found myself in a rut. I let my past mistakes define me and strayed away from where my worth really came from, God. It took me awhile before I realized God was preparing me for a bigger adventure. My second semester of college my heart was changing. I couldn’t quite pin point what was going on I just knew I had the desire to go out and share what the Lord has done for me and simply what he can do for all of you!
I applied for the race not thinking at all what it would entitle of me but here I am now about to embark on this crazy journey! I do not know exactly what is in store for me, however, I do know that God is amazing! So please come follow me along this new journey, I hear it is going to be a wild one full of hope and redemption.
