What my week consisted of: We stayed on a small horse ranch for 6 days. God made 4 days’ worth of groceries last for more than 6, I think. To get there we took a bus from Riobamba to a drop off point 20 minutes out in the country. Then we walked down a hill to the valley, back up then down again then up again to be at last at the house.
We learned that sometimes ministry is just spending time together. We interacted with the people who worked at the ranch and got to know one of the men. His name was Segundo. We spent most of the days in prayer together, studying the Word together. We have been doing a Proverb a day learning about Wisdom. We also worship together. We told each other our testimonies and talked about other things. The biggest thing I learned about living with only guys 24 hours a day with no girls… We talk about things that we wouldn’t typically talk about around girls. I typically make friends with girls easily and I love all my friends back home. It is different to be making guy friends and only talking to guys when we aren’t with other teams. It is different. I don’t have words as to why it’s different. Still working on that. We spent a lot of time with God alone and together. We studied spiritual gifts. Specifically, the Redemptive Gifts.
Now after a crazy bus ride, my team is back in Banos with one of our other squad teams. Team Zeal. We are staying at a family’s apartment below their home. Please pray for the Purdy’s (Sterling, Donna, Isabella, Hayes, and Quinley). They are a great family and I am thankful for all they have done to bless us. I love spending time with them. I will write another blog of what we have done so far here in Banos with them.
I have been dealing with a persistent cold and I am healing from it. Please help me continue pray against it. Also please pray for continued health and protection over my entire squad.
