Abba, your ocean beckons me to jump in.
As I stand on the shore I wonder what this ocean holds.
Is it complete freedom? Underserved grace? Unfailing love?
Before I even take a step, it has already chased me down
The foamy water gently washes over my feet giving me a glimpse of the thing it holds.
I want more of whatever it is.
Just these glimpses will not satisfy anymore
I must chase down the waves that first chased me.
I run like a wild woman, no longer caring what is actually out there.
I go deeper and deeper until I’m unable to touch the sand beneath my feet
And that is where I find it.
Everything I could ever need.
