Throughout the race I’ve been ‘collecting’ things that I want to take back home. Not in the physical sense so much, though I have picked up some souvenirs along the way, but things that I want to remember, things I want to implement into my daily life once I return to the ‘real world’.
I’ve learned some very valuable things in the past seven months, but this month I believe the Lord is going to teach me more than He has yet.
My team and I are doing what’s called ATL this month. ATL stands for “Ask The Lord”. Essentially, we were given a city in Bulgaria to be in, but that’s it. We have no host, had no place to stay set up for us, no ministry contacts whatsoever. The point of this is to literally ask God what He wants us to do every single day.
Which is exactly what my life will look like when I get home in less than 4 months.
We’re taking initiative in what our ministry will look like day to day, whether that’s prayer walking, talking to people we meet along the way, emailing different organizations throughout the city to see what we could get involved in, or partnering with a local church.
I’m so incredibly excited to see what the Lord has planned for us in Bulgaria. It’s quite literally all up to Him and what He wants to see here.
This month is going to be a lot different from what we’re used to so please continue to pray for me and my team as we pray for clarity and boldness in what the Lord wants us to do for the next three weeks!
