Hey guys! As many of you know I will be taking a gap year instead of College. I will be on route 6!!
i and 55 other individuals will take on each country working along side missionaries to bring the love of Christ to all!
China => Mongolia => Malawi => Zambia => and Ecuador.
Why a gap year many ask? As I was praying about this trip many different things went through my mind: why not go to college and wait to go on mission or, is it actually smart to go on a 9 month mission trip or should I stay back here. Well my answer is now, I felt the lord calling me to go now, leave America for 9 months, leave college, family, and friends. Some may think I’m crazy, some won’t support this decision but what i know is the lord has a huge plan for my life and the lives of all the people my team and i will come in contact with. It’s deciding when to go and how to get there and leaning on the father to guide your way. Yes it’ll be a crazy wild ride but a worth it ride. I’m ready to be broken for Jesus, ready for the mission, ready for the people, ready for the culture, ready for the world. Will you join me?
Prayer is the biggest thing God is teaching me about this trip so far. Matthew 18:19-20 says “Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” Pray together as one body under God. Countless times, the Bible shows the power of two or more praying in the word, through the word, and with others. God invites us to pray, it is a choice for us. Please help pray with me. You may wonder, why start praying now? The Trip isn’t for another 9 months. It’s getting myself prepared, and the countries and individuals route 6 will touch; before, then, and after this amazing adventure God has in store.
