Happy 50th Anniversary, Mimi and Pampy! Wow, a whole 50 years! I can’t begin to tell you how much I wish I was home to celebrate this special moment with you. Thank you for setting a great example of what a godly marriage should look like. You honor one another, you love one another, but most importantly, you have allowed God to be the center of your marriage. Pampy, some of my favorite memories of you are from church. How you always say “well, c’mon now” or how whenever we offer you water to drink you say “I have already taken a shower!”. I feel like it is so easy for you to put a smile on people’s faces. You are so intentional about loving people and making them feel noticed. For a girl that doesn’t really remember what her relationship was like with her biological grandfather, having you around to love on me and care for me has been an amazing thing in my life. I don’t think you know how much you mean to me, Pampy! The way you treat and respect Mimi is how I want to be treated by my future husband. You inspire me to be a better person. You inspire me to love and honor the people around me. Thank you for loving me so well. Thank you for being a role model for me and my siblings. I love you so much, Pampy.
Mimi, you are one amazing woman of God that loves and cares for her family so well. I have learned so much from you. You know how to love well and give people a piece of your mind when it needs to be given. You’re quite like me, and you’re so wise and have so much to offer to this world. I am so proud of my awesome Italian Mimi. This world is lucky to have you. What an honor and privilege to be called your granddaughter. You have taught mom to be such an incredible mother. I thank you for bringing her into this world and for raising her the way you did. Thank you for making every birthday special for me by making my favorite desserts. That just goes to show how much you care for each and one of your grandkids. Also, can I just add you’re one of the best cooks I know?
I am so blessed and honored to be called your granddaughter. It seems crazy since I have only known y’all for about 8 years, but I truly can not imagine my life without y’all. You have both loved me and cared for me so well. The way you both love your kids and grandkids is incredible. Because of you (and my parents) I now know the most important foundation to a healthy marriage is God. Thank you for honoring one another. Thank you for being awesome grandparents. Thank you for showing Jesus through your marriage. You are leaving such an incredible legacy behind you. A legacy I will forever honor. Thank you for being my role models. Also, thank you for bringing my amazing mom to the world! I will forever cherish all the memories I have of you and all the memories we will have in the days to come.
