Since it is the week of Thanksgiving, and I have so much to be thankful for, I thought I would share with y’all all that I am thankful for this year. But especially what I am thankful in this season of my life.

I don’t really know how long this list will be or I would let you know up front… Sorry (not sorry?)

Let’s Begin…

I am thankful for loving and supportive parents that have allowed me to travel around the world (as the Lord called) instead of getting a full time job

I am thankful for my new found family that I get to spend the Race with!! and these special holidays

I am thankful for friends who support me, even when I am half way around the world

I am thankful for Coca-Cola Light and that Southeast Asia sells it (this one is very serious)

I am thankful for this time that the Lord has allowed me to truly get to know Him in ways that I never would have imagined before this trip

I am thankful for time spent getting to know my squad/teammates and the time that they invest in me as well

I am thankful that I will get to experience believers all over the world praising and worshiping (like how cool?! Praising in a Chinese Baptist Church, in Malaysia along side a family from the Netherlands, like what)

I am thankful for the time I have to really process all that the Lord has for me

I am thankful for peanut butter. ‘Nough said.

I am thankful for Air Con. Again, ‘nough said.

I am thankful that my peers love me enough to point out the junk in me and call me higher

I am thankful for the 43 new BFFs that I gained this year (#XsquadBestsquad)

I am thankful for movies and friends that want to watch them with me

I am thankful that I get to experience parts of the world that most people never see

I am thankful for the backpackers I have met, and will continue to meet throughout this year, and the perspective they can give me on their life experiences

I am thankful for a year of living life to the fullest. A time where holding back isn’t an option, you can only choose to jump in head first. A season where my life will be molded and changed forever. A period of being comfortable in the uncomfortable and learning what it truly means to lean on the Lord for ALL THINGS (like providing a toilet when you’ve been traveling for too long and just don’t know whats happening to your body anymore). I am thankful that the Lord called me to join Him on this journey.

So, yes, I am sad that I won’t be with my family to eat and watch football in a few days. But I am so thankful that I get to spend my 2017 Thanksgiving with a family that chooses to love one another no matter what.

Happy early Thanksgiving from Malaysia y’all!!! I’ll make sure to eat some Wantan Mee for all y’all this Thanksgiving 🙂

With love,

Sav

PS – I’m just so thankful for so much and so much more than was on this list, I just couldn’t name it all or this blog would be 5ever long tehe xoxo
