As a world racer you naturally want to let everyone know about your blog, and since it is 2016, the best way to do that seems to be through social media. I rarely use my Facebook account, but I figured I may as well post about what I’m doing and put my blog out there. Everyone thought what I was doing was great, and told me prayers would be sent my way. But as I looked at my fundraising goal, and how much I had raised so far, I thought that I had accomplished very little through posting my blog on Facebook and Instagram. I got on Facebook and shared my post about my blog just to get it on everyone’s feed one last time, and when I shared it I said that if anyone had any questions at all about what I’m doing, please don’t hesitate to ask. I got a Facebook message not too long after I shared my post, and it was from a girl I went to middle school with, and haven’t seen in years. She said she had a few questions and I told her to go right ahead. She then continued to tell me about how being a missionary is something she has really been wanting to do, and she told me that my post about what I am doing inspired her to really move forward with it. I gave her as much information on missions and the World Race as I could, and she said that seeing my post is what made her cross that line and start doing missions. My intentions when I got on Facebook was to let everyone know what I was doing, and to put it frankly: get money. I didn’t accomplish that goal, but this made me realize that God is just really awesome with the way he does things. All I was trying to do was get the word out about my blog, and God turned something as simple as that, into making someone become a missionary. God is cool.
