When my team arrived in Romania, we spent two days in Dragonesti-Olt, which is in the south of Romania. Evangelical Christianity accounts for only .2% of the population here! It’s referred to as “the graveyard for missionaries.” There we had a bit of an orientation and then left for Alba Iulia which is about 8 hours away in the northern part of Romania–Transylvania (where Dracula originated). In Alba Iulia, Evangelical Christianity accounts for 7% of the population. My team is partnered with Harmony Church as well as PIEI. We are being hosted at the bougiest place I’ve stayed on the World Race so far. It’s a sort of conference center to house missionaries and other groups. Since we arrived we have been inviting people to English lessons, teaching English, helping at some after school care programs and a kindergarden, worked one day doing manual labor, praying for Partners in Evangelism International (PIEI), hanging out with people from the church and the community, and some other stuff. I sort of tend to forget to take pictures during ministry because I’m just focused on what’s in front of me instead of capturing it. I’ve heard that it looks like the world race is glamorous. At times, it is. At times, it really really is not. I forget to take pictures of the difficult and unpleasant parts, mainly because I just laugh or shrug it off in the moment.

^^^The first night we arrived in Romania, I didn’t have any clean clothes and had to wash them and hang them. Just a reminder of real life out here. I was honestly feeling blessed to have a place to “hang up” my clothes to dry, and thankful for the dry air and sun the next day!

^^This house looked really cool.
On the way to our ministry sight, we were taken to Corvin Castle! According to wikipedia, this castle was laid out in 1446, and is one of the largest castles in Europe! It certainly was mind-blowing to me. It was my first and only castle experience EVER!

I hope you enjoyed =]
