Chile has over 2.5 million street dogs aka homeless canines. Everywhere you go, there are dogs. At every intersection usually one is waiting to cros while others are sleeping along the sides. Most look plump with a nice fur coat and it seems the locals put out water for them and even build little houses for the dogs. I badly want to pet the dogs but I am not under my own authority alone so I have held back, and instead created a bit of a dog portfolio. You’ll see there are two shots of one of my favorites. This dog is always on his box “chilean”–aka chillin and layin. The dogs are always amongst the people and I feel like here they are more intelligent and have  more personality. They are “street smart” and the only bothersome dogs I notice are the ones who have an owner. Our neighbor across the street has five or six little white poodle looking dogs and two cats. Every night between 12-2am the dogs bark for a few minutes. All of them at once. This has become a norm here. I am not usually a big fan of dogs, but here I seem to love them–the homeless ones especially and theyre just so cute!!
